Do
I need to register my domain?
|
| Basically,
yes. It is possible to run a web server without having a domain name, but
you would only be able to access the pages via the IP address, something
like http://123.223.22.122/ which isn't very appealing. Before (or when)
purchasing a hosting package, you should register your desired name (or
multiple names) in a top-level domain. Our nameservers can then point requests
for your web pages to the corect server. |

What
OS or platform do you use?
|
Our
most popular servers run Apache Webserver on RedHat Enterprise Linux (UNIX).
This is by far the most commonly used server platform, running on almost
half the webservers in the world. We can also provide accounts on Windows

Do
you provide web statistics?
|
| Yes.
All our hosting plans include comprehensive usage statistics. Also, you
have full access to the raw log files and are free to use any other statistical
package of your choice. |

What
do I need to use your hosting services ?
|
| If
you are viewing this page on your PC, then you have all the equipment you
need: a computer with an internet connection. The only software required
to view your pages is a standard web browser such as Microsoft Internet
Explorer or Netscape Navigator. In order to design and publish your pages,
you will need a HTML design package such as Front Page or Dreamweaver, although
you can even use a simple text editor like notepad, if thats your idea of
fun. You may also require FTP software to physically transfer your files
to our servers - this is often built into the HTML design software, or can
be freely obtained on the internet. |

Do
you support Microsoft Front Page ?
|
|
Yes. Microsoft
Front Page extensions may be installed or removed free of charge from
your web control panel. Without the proper extensions you would not be
able to use Front Page to publish your site, nor would you be able to
use any of the tools that front page supports (WebBots, ToDo Lists etc).
We will support any questions related to the use of these extensions.
However, we do not support problems or questions directly related to the
use of Front Page itself, instead we would direct you to Microsoft's Front
Page Technical Support.

will be happy to provide any additional services if at all possible. We
can provide quite a range of domain registration and web hosting services
ourselves, please refer to our services
and pricing page. If you require a service which we cannot provide,
then we will be glad to point you in the direction of somebody who can (even
